Electrodeposition of 99Tc Metal

Technetium metal can be electrodeposited almost quantitatively from dilute solutions of pertechnetate ion in acidic ammonium oxalate. Films up to 18 mg/cm2 have been deposited as dense adherent coatings on copper, gold, silver and platinum at a current density of 1.3 amp/cm2.
