Reactor Production of ¹⁰⁹ Cd: Isotopic Composition and Use as an X-Ray Source

Cadmium-109 (1.3 a half life,) was recovered from a reactor-irradiated silver target and used to demonstrate the feasibility of using a portable ¹⁰⁹Cd x-ray source for radiography.
