Activation techniques were employed in measurement of cross sections for the ⁵⁹Co(n,p)⁵⁹Fe reaction, relative to ²³⁸U fission, in the neutron energy range of 2.57 to 4.91 MeV. These and previously reported data were employed in calculation of average cross sections for this reaction in two reference fission neutron spectra: (a) ²³⁵U thermal fission and (b) ²⁵²Cf spontaneous fission.
