The main results of an investigation of safety improvement and service life prolongation of the BOR-60 reactor are reported. The mergpossibility of improved inherent safety properties is considered. Additional safety systems are developed and adopted. For ransient and eency conditions are analyzed as are the thermostresses that occur in the reactor components. Measures are carried out to moderate the thermal conditions.
