Recently, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission revised the health effects models that provide the basis for assessing health risks associated with nuclear power plant accidents. The revised models build on models developed in 1975 and 1985, but include several significant modifications. The revised health effects models are briefly summarized.
