The choking criterion for nonhomogeneous nonequilibrium two-phase flow has been obtained by solving the two-fluid conservation equations. The method of characteristics is employed to predict the critical flow conditions. Numerical results revealed that the proposed model reliably predicted the critical two-phase flow phenomenon and compared well with existing experimental data as well as with other analytical models.
