The new Ambersorb® carbonaceous adsorbents have been tested for iodine adsorption efficiency in air and water under laboratory ambient conditions. The preliminary test results indicate that these materials are very effective adsorbents for either I2 or CH3I, and they may have some potential applications in the nuclear industry.
