The effect of pressure and temperature fluctuations is greatly reduced by appropriate design and by prestressing of the lines in an apparatus for remote, continuous weighing of heavy pressurized vessels (60 bar) at high temperatures (250°C), even when these vessels are connected to other systems by means of metal lines. The weighing device is based on the application of strain gauges. The accuracy of measurement is within 0.5%. Weighing devices of this type can be applied, for example, in the process industry.
