A new equation-of-state (EOS) of xenon at high temperatures and pressures has been developed. The equation is based on a multiparametric formulation of the corresponding states principle, and it is suitable for implementation in computer codes for the analysis of fission gas bubble kinetics. A comparison with previous formulations of the EOS of xenon shows that the new equation could be used with advantage to predict the behavior of nonequilibrium bubbles during fast transients.
