The nuclear heating and tritium breeding characteristics of the high yield lithium injection fusion energy (HYLIFE) converter, a reactor concept for an inertial confinement fusion electric power plant, have been analyzed using the coupled neutron-photon Monte Carlo transport code (TARTNP) and the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory Evaluated Nuclear Data Library. For the considered HYLIFE configuration, a total energy of 20.4 MeV is deposited in the chamber per 17.6-MeV deuterium-tritium fusion reaction, and the tritium breeding ratio is 1. 75.
