The high yield lithium injection fusion energy chamber with a tritium breeding ratio (TBR) of 1.75 is a prolific producer of excess tritium, which is currently considered a valuable commodity. Future safety, environmental, and political factors can, however, change this perception. In this paper, design modifications are discussed that can be used to control the TBR between 1.0 and 1.75.
