Proton microprobe analysis utilizing the strong, narrow 0.874-MeV resonance in the 19F(ρ,αγ)16O reaction was employed to identify fluorine as a contaminant and to measure its concentration profile in the surface of silver-coated copper wiring on the Lunar Module.
