A microvolume electrolysis cell designed specifically for the selective electrodeposition of radioactive isotopes from solution uses electrolysis solution volumes from 5 to 250 µliters. As electrolysis times are short (10 to 4000 sec), short-lived isotopes can be deposited as uniform films for further study.
