Systems for Experimental Isotope Irradiation in a Production Reactor

Two sample transfer systems (one mechanical and one pneumatic) were developed for experimental isotope irradiations in Savannah River Plant production reactors. The systems operate through existing access ports, but independently of the production charge-discharge cycle. A unique device acquires and presents the pneumatic carrier for counting.
