The methods used to acquire data in the Three Mile Island Unit 2 reactor coolant system (RCS) are discussed. The planning for each task, tool development, as-low-as-reasonbly-achievable concepts incorporated, and unanticipated problems encountered during task performance are also disucssed. These methods have provided information for the planning of specialized defueling features for safe and efficient fuel removal from the RCS.
