A Three-Decade Exponential Current Generator for Testing Reactor Period Meters

A signal generator for producing currents that are exponential functions of time is described. The signals have a range of three decades, starting at 2.5 × 10⁻⁹ A. Six periods, between 3.8 and 168 s, are available. The generator is useful for calibrating and testing instruments, e.g. reactor period meters that measure currents which are exponential functions of time.
