A method of studying neutron transport properties in H₂O-D₂O mixtures, both liquid and solid, which extrapolates the neutron thermalization parameters of H₂O is described. The decay of pulsed neutrons in the media has been investigated as an example of the application of the method. The results of the calculations agree with the experiment for concentrations up to 50% D₂O.
