The Dependence of the Gamma-Ray Spectral Shape on the Neutron Energy Averaging Interval Size for the ¹⁸¹Ta(n,γ) Reaction

The dependence of the shape of neutron capture gamma-ray spectra on the neutron energy averaging interval size has been investigated for the ¹⁸¹Ta(n,γ) reaction. The effects of statistical fluctuations in the partial radiation widths are discussed. The change in the spectral shape as a function of neutron energy is presented.
