The differential elastic and inelastic neutron scattering cross sections of ²³⁸U at 144 keV were measured using a silicon neutron filtered beam and a spherical proton recoil counter. The absolute magnitudes were obtained by comparison with the measured lead cross section. Both integrated values show excellent agreement with the ENDF/B-IV file.
