The space-energy factorization scheme has been applied to obtain solutions of the energy-dependent neutron diffusion equation for two-dimensional /24-group LMFBR models. It is shown that the SEF method provides an economical means for obtaining approximate solutions for the LMFBR problems. Further, the capability of multidimensional diffusion theory codes in solving 20- to 30-group LMFBR problems will be enhanced by providing for the SEF calculation.
