The classic problem of an isotropic burst from a plane source in the transport of monoenergetic particles in a medium of infinite extent is solved. The medium scatters isotropically. The novelty lies in remaining in (x,t) coordinates throughout, using generalized functions and the multiple-collision series. The solution reproduces that given by Kholin, obtained by other means, several decades ago.
