Cross sections have been measured for the 19F(n, p)19O and 19F(n, α)16N reactions from near threshold to 9 MeV. The 238U(n, f) reaction was used as a standard for determining neutron fluence, and a cyclic activation technique enabled measurements to be made on the short half-life activities of the reaction products. The results from this work are compared with corresponding data sets from the literature. These measurements support, qualitatively, the previously reported structure in the excitation functions for these reactions.
