The slowing-down spectra in several natural-uranium heavy-water reactor cores and in a U²³⁵ light-water reactor have been intercompared using activation techniques. The main features of the spectra agree with multigroup diffusion theory calculations but there are additional effects not included in the theory which can be correlated with uranium resonances.
