Complex Buckling Modes in Asymmetric Cell lattices

It is shown how a slab lattice of asymmetric cells can support complex macroscopic buckling modes leading to an effective “drift” of neutrons in a preferred direction. Expressions for the smeared lattice cell diffusion and drift coefficients that describe this effect are given.
