The total neutron cross section of ²⁴¹Am was determined from transmission data obtained at the Lawrence Livermore Laboratory 100-MeV electron Linac for the neutron energy range from 0.5 to 25 MeV Neutron energies were measured using the time-of-flight technique. The transmission of a ¹²C sample was measured simultaneously to test the precision of this experiment. The measured ²⁴¹Am cross section is compared with the evaluated data files, and discrepancies are noted.
