Ways to evaluate the amount of depleted boron in the reactor coolant system of pressurized water reactors and in the total nuclear power plant boron inventory are presented. Also shown are the identified amounts of the depleted boron in the D. C. Cook nuclear plant units 1 and 2 and respective values calculated using presented equations. Operational and safety aspects of the phenomena are discussed.
