This paper describes a method for predicting the deposition of particles entrained in turbulent flow. The method predicts the deposition of particles ranging from molecular size to ∼100µ in diameter. Brownian diffusion, turbulent diffusion, and inertial effects are accounted for, and the existence of an equilibrium concentration of particles close to the wall is postulated. The method shows reasonable agreement with published data.
