A new formula for the calculation of fission-fragment ranges is introduced that takes into account the Z₂ oscillation phenomenon in the stopping processes. The empirical formula enables a direct and immediate calculation of the ranges of fission fragments in any absorbing medium, eliminating any need for tables, figures, or interpretation procedures.
