Miniature fission counters and thin foils are employed to determine the ratios of the effective neutron cross sections for fission and activation of elements of interest at various locations in the Experimental Breeder Reactor at Arco, Idaho. Experimental results are compared with predictions based on multigroup diffusion theory.
