The Heating Characteristics of a Helical Antenna for a Magnetic Mirror Discharge in Comparison with a Slot Antenna

We investigate the heating characteristics of a helical antenna in comparison with the previously studied slot antenna1. In the present work, the electromagnetic field and antenna impedance are calculated using a newly designed current model for helical antenna. As the numerical results, the dependence of various components of the resistance on plasma density and external magnetic field are compared with slot antenna.
