Calculations using analytical formulations of the pertinent muon catalyzed fusion reactions in deuterium-tritium fuel compressed up to 100 times liquid hydrogen density indicate that more than 800 fusions could be catalyzed per muon. The possibility of muon catalyzed fusion triggered ignition of deuterium-tritium targets is also considered. Conceivable system configurations and density-temperature effects on various muon reaction processes are discussed.
