It is shown that a significant part of the clusters used to heat the converter(s) of the indirectly driven thermonuclear target can be strongly ionized and, thereby, destroyed by thermal radiation emitted by the target. Bombardment of a sufficiently hot target by the clusters is impossible. Some effects related to transfer of the electric charge of the positive ions to the thermonuclear target are considered.
