IGNITEX is a basic fusion ignition tokamak designed to produce ignited plasmas for scientific study in the simplest and most cost-effective way possible. This paper presents cost estimates for the construction phase of the IGNITEX project. These cost estimates have been made to a detail level consistent with the conceptual design phase of the project and are summarized as follows:
