A palladium-deuterium system subject to different experimental thermodynamic conditions was studied to look for low-temperature d-d fusion reactions. Neutrons, light charged particles, and energetic gamma rays were detected. No significant effects were observed in the neutron and gamma-ray measurements. From the analysis of the light charged particles, a fusion rate λf ≈ 10−23 event/(D2 × s) was deduced.
