Error Analysis of a Probe Array Used for Transient Radio-Frequency Impedance Measurement in Ion Cyclotron Resonance Heating Experiments

Probe arrays used to measure transient radio-frequency impedance in ion cyclotron resonance heating experiments often give erroneous results. This problem is analyzed and the results are given. A system composed of directional couplers and four probes is proposed to improve the accuracy of the measurements.
