Radiolytic corrosion has been a concern in the fusion community for some time. The relevant physical processes are reviewed from previous work in the fission field. It is shown that in water-cooled heat sink elements infusion reactors the corrosive process can be suppressed by the introduction of a small amount of dissolved hydrogen.
