Plasma Performance of Tokamak Fusion Core Experiment and Joint European Torus with Sawtoothing

The plasma performance with sawtoothing is assessed for two tokamak reactor experiments, the proposed Tokamak Fusion Core Experiment (TFCX) and the Joint European Torus (JET). TFCX is ignitable with sawtoothing and impurities assuming neo-Alcator plus Gorbunov-Mirnov-Strelkov scalingsfor plasma confinement. JET is also ignitable at optimistically high currents (≥ 7 MA).
