Apparent Muon Loss in Muon Catalyzed Fusion

Muon loss to side cycles of muon catalyzed fusion is discussed in a schematic model. Experimentally extracted values for permanent muon loss probability (“muon sticking”) depend on the presence of cycles terminating by formation of unobservable low-energy neutrons.
