Past ANS President Eric Loewen on the Future of Nuclear Power
Eric Loewen, past president of ANS (2011-2012), recently participated in a radio talk show on WUNC discussing his hopes for the future of nuclear power.
The show focused on the need for nuclear energy as the U.S. looks for cleaner forms of energy to mitigate climate change. Loewen also explains how he became interested in nuclear power, his education and how he hopes to change the perception of nuclear in the U.S.
Eric Loewen is now the Chief Consulting Engineer at the GE Hitachi Nuclear Energy facility in Wilmington, North Carolina.
