John Kotek Appointed To Senior DOE Post
John Kotek was selected by President Barack Obama to serve as principal deputy assistant secretary for the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Office of Nuclear Energy. John served as the ANS Congressional Fellow in 2002.
His new position will include overseeing U.S. nuclear energy research, as well as program development. He will also be responsible for executing DOE’s strategy for the management of spent nuclear fuel and high-level radioactive waste.
John’s work experience of more than 25 yearsin the nuclear energy industry includes serving as the deputy manager of DOE's Idaho Operations Office.
