U.S. Future as Leader in Nuclear Energy Innovation

ANS President Michaele Brady Raap called for the U.S. to be a leader in advanced reactors in order to assert global nuclear influence.

The 2014 ANS Annual Meeting opening plenary discussed the role of the U.S. as a leader in nuclear energy innovation, and the importance to for political will to push for global leadership.

Established in 1954, ANS is a professional organization of engineers and scientists devoted to the peaceful applications of nuclear science and technology. Its more than 11,000 members come from diverse technical backgrounds covering the full range of engineering disciplines as well as the physical and biological sciences within the nuclear field.
