Former NRC Chairman Klein Focuses on Future of Nuclear Waste Confidence
At a recent gathering of the ANS Washington D.C. Local Section, Former NRC Chairman Dr. Dale E. Klein encouraged the federal government to focus on a clear direction towards a nuclear waste confidence program.
Specifically, Dr. Klein notes the need for a geological repository, based at Yucca Mountain or elsewhere, in order for the government to properly handle the nuclear fuel cycle.
