Transition plans underway in Washington, DC

The ANS Government Affairs Office in Washington, DC, is keeping track of impor tant transition activities.  The President-Elect George W. Bush transition team is making headway.  ANS will routinely add information regarding the President-Elect George W. Bush transition.
December 21, 2000 - ANS President James Lake sends letter to Vice President-Elect Cheney and forwards briefing papers on four major issues: Nuclear Reactor Research and Development, Nuclear Technology Education and Research Infrastructure, Nuclear Fuel Cycle and Nonproliferation Policy, and Isotope Production and Research.

December 21, 2000 - Andy Lundquist is overseeing energy issues for the transition team. The mailing address is Bush-Cheney Presidential Transition Foundation, 1616 Anderson Road, McLean, VATransition plans underway in Washington, DC 22102.

Another area of interest, Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), is overseen by John Howard at the same address.
