Washington Office Bulletin: Highlights of House/Senate spending bills
The Senate Appropriations Committee has passed its version of the fiscal year 2004 Energy and Water Development Appropriations bill (S. 1424), which provides funding for most programs at the Department of Energy (DOE). It also funds programs of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission. The House passed its version of the bill on Friday (H.R. 2754). Details of both bills can be found at thomas.loc.gov.

The Senate bill provides $27.3 billion for the programs under its jurisdiction. The House bill provides $27.1 billion.
